About Us

Chain Account Services (CAS) was founded in 1994 as a division of Merchants Sales Company, Inc (MSC). CAS was hired by non-food product manufacturers to assist with product placement into large national restaurant chains. The categories of products represented included disposable dining products such as cups, cutlery, straws, wraps and containers; food prep items such as portion bags, foil, film, and storage containers; as well as sanitary maintenance items which included gloves, aprons, headwear, can liners, and cleaning supplies. Initially CAS focused on a dozen national chains located in the southeast, but by 2000 CAS had expanded coverage coast to coast. In 2001 CAS partnered with MDSI, a contract manufacturing company, and this expanded CAS’s product offering due to the wide range of items offered by MDSI. This partnership also created opportunities for customized products.

In 2007 Chain Account Services Food Division was founded. We started with 2 manufacturers offering primarily stock products, import items, and maraschino cherries. Over the years our sales strategy has evolved; we now represent approximately 20 food manufacturers and specialize in custom formulations and products.

Today CAS is known throughout the industry as a company who provides expertise in everything from packaging design to cleaning chemical programs, and CAS Foods has worked with some of the best know restaurant chains to develop new and exciting menu items. Along with product placement, CAS has a team of customer service specialists who provide ongoing support in the areas of price forecasting and maintenance, logistics/fulfillment, and crisis management. As of 2015 CAS has a customer base of over 140 chain restaurants including over 74 of the top 200 chains in the USA.
